My model of Ezra while writing the novel was Eriol Hiragiizawa from Cardcaptor Sakura. But I found this pic and I thought that it was perfect. As you can see, he's more mature than Mara, since he's already eighteen by the time the novel started. His hair in the pic is how I always imagined it, messy but in a stylish kind of way. Like it was did on purpose. The expression on his face is just perfect too. Ezra doesn't smile too often. And when he does, its mostly because it was required of him and not to his own pleasure. He rarely shows genuine smiles. His built is not too muscular, just on the middle. You can see that he is fairly good at sports, but seldom participates in it. He's also very good at his studies, mainly because of his competitiveness. Hence the glasses. The glasses doesn't make him look like a geek, it even adds to his charm. His eyes will be colored Sapphire, cold and unfeeling, and hides all of his emotions. But when he lets his guard down, it gives a certain warmth, like a blue-flamed fire. He holds a mysterious air with him, which of course, girls love. He's very popular with the ladies, but none of them has the guts to even talk to him, since he isn't very friendly. He's like ice.
Ezra is known to never have a girlfriend since birth, which is very intriguing, since many girls would love to date him. This resulting to the rumors of him gay. This is not true, of course. It is only because he has very high standards, and none had passed them yet. Later in the story it will be shown how deeply Ezra loves and hates as much as well.
